According to Wikipedia: “A wisdom tooth, in humans, is any of the usual four third molars. Wisdom teeth generally appear between the ages of 17 and 25. Most adults have four wisdom teeth, but it is possible to have fewer or more, in which case the extras are called supernumerary teeth. Wisdom teeth commonly affect other teeth as they develop, becoming impacted or “coming in sideways.” They are often extracted when this occurs.”

This is a perfect example of impacted wisdom teeth coming in sideways, on the other side you can see the two wisdom teeth coming in normally. Wisdom teeth do not serve any purpose and are located in the very back where it’s usually hard to reach and very crowded! If you’re experiencing pain because of this, it’s time to get rid of them! Give us a call and we’d be more than happy to help you make this happen. Don’t wait call today!
